SOCIAL CARE DEPUTY MANAGER
RELIEF SOCIAL CARE WORKER
Rainbow Community Services is seeking to recruit a full-time SOCIAL
CARE DEPUTY MANAGER FOR IVY MEWS, GREENHILL’S, DROGHEDA AND RELIEF
SOCIAL CARE WORKERS for services based at Julianstown, Co. Meath and
Greenhill’s, Drogheda
These are exciting positions working in Children’s Residential
Services. The services endeavour to provide a high standard of care to
each young person in an open, trusting, safe and caring environment
which promotes individual growth through learning and positive life
experiences. In this process we respect the rights and choices of each
young person and work to their best interests at all times.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SOCIAL CARE DEPUTY MANAGER:
* Qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or suitable
equivalent.
* A full clean driving licence.
* A minimum of three years Social Care Leader experience in a
similar service. Previous management experience is desirable.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Assisting the manager of the service in overseeing a quality,
person centered service which provides a high standard of care within
the framework of the National Standards for Children’s Residential
Services
* Providing an open, trusting and supportive environment for young
people and the staff team.
* Supporting the staff team in motivating young people and promoting
their interdependence, growth, personal reflection and responsibility
while providing positive life experiences.
* Participating in the management of the service in ensuring that
all policies and procedures are being implemented and reviewed in line
with national standards and best practise.
* Liaising with other professionals and service providers in the
community.
* Maintaining confidential data, carrying out report writing and
managing paperwork as required.
* Providing supervision, direction and support to staff ensuring
they are participating fully in their role.
* The Deputy manager will be expected to participate in the on-call
cover arrangements, cover for the manager in their absence and be
available for some shift cover.

* Qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or suitable
equivalent.

* Previous experience working in a children’s residential centre
is highly desirable.
